PROJECT - Agave Taco Bar

BRAND-LOGO DESIGN

VISUAL IDENTITY DESIGN

During the fall of 2018, this was one of the school projects that I really enjoyed. The requirement was to create a brand of my choice for a restaurant. I developed this brand for a Mexican-inspired Snack Bar that would offer appetizers and drinks. I had complete freedom to create the design.

SKETCH

A period of research begins. This phase involved an iterative process, starting with hand-drawn, then digital sketches, as well as experimenting with typography to later achieve the final version.

With the logo finalized and approved, it was time to begin the process of getting a color scheme. This is the final logo and color specifications.

During this phase, I researched the feasibility of starting this sort of business in a specific area of the city. This information is captured in the infographic.

Business Card

Once the colours, the typography, the logo, and the feasibility of the business had been approved it was time to start creating some brand elements. The business card is only one of the multiple applications of the logo to promote the brand.

Another application of the logo to help enhance the brand is the Menu. Designing the menu for food and drinks was also a fun part of the project. Blending colours and incorporating fonts and textures brings the brand to life.

WordPress Website

Also, a part of the creative process is the design and implementation of a website to wrap up a brand. During this phase, I implemented two versions of the website, one using WordPress and another designed from scratch using only HTML and CSS.
